Fall Stream Monitoring Volunteer Day

Service Description

On October 5th, we will be leading a fun, messy day of collecting benthic macroinvertebrates from our stream samples. We will be meeting at the bridge at Hopkins Creek right off Lucas Rd. Written directions: Go north on 66 until you reach 42, turn left on 42E, Drive for 4.4 miles, and then turn left on Lucas Rd. Drive 5.6 miles on Lucas Rd. We will be on the left hand side right at the bridge. You will need some comfortable clothes you can get dirty in, a water bottle, and some sunscreen. We recommend waterproof boots. Waders can be provided if requested ahead of time. It helps so much to know the number of helpers we are expecting, so please RSVP on our website, by calling our office at 231-839-7193, or by stopping in at our downtown Lake City location (101 Main St).
