Ilex verticillata Native to Michigan

This deciduous shrub will form dense thickets if not regularly pruned. If pollination occurs, bright red berries will form in clusters and may persist throughout the winter attracting many different birds.
Grows best in moderate to wet soils in full sun to full shade to a height of 3-12' at a medium growth rate of 13-24" per year.
