A mix of wildlife friendly grasses and legumes. Grasses are introduced cool-season and they grow in clumps (none sod forming) allowing for better cover for small birds and mammals. The diversity of legumes provides food and cover. 9 species included. Plant May or August in moderately moist soil.
Taking a soil sample is suggested prior to planting to determine if anything is needed to amend your soil. Missaukee Conservation District offers a cost share program to Missaukee County landowners.
