Also called European elderberry. This multi-stemmed shrub is know for its fragrant pink and white flowers that blossom in early summer and develop dark blue berries which can be used to make jellies or pies.
Grows best in moderate to wet soils in full sun to partial shade in to a height of 10-12' at a medium growth rate of 6-12" in the first 3 years.
