Meet Our Staff
Cheryl started working at Missaukee CD in August of 2017. She moved to Michigan to be with her now husband from Clearwater, Florida in 2014. She enjoys canoeing, fishing and spending time on or near the water.
Larry joined the District staff in June of 2016. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in forestry from Virginia Technological University and brings with him a variety of forestry experience in both the public and private sector. Larry enjoys assisting landowners with improving the health and quality of their forests and woodlots. He is available to work with landowners in both Wexford and Missuakee Counties to assist them in actively managing their woodlands.
Jim has been the District Conservationist for Missaukee County since 1988, As part of his more than 25 years of service here, he assists farmers and landowners with soil conservation, manure / nutrient management, wildlife habitat improvement, and water quality concerns. He holds a Bachelor's degree in agriculture science from Michigan State University.

Marcia Rackov
Director
Marcia is a farm girl, born and raised in Missaukee County. She is blessed to be living back on the family's Centennial Farm. She is a retired school food service director, most of my career was with Lake City Area Schools.
"We have been given only one Earth and each of us has a responsible to try a to make it a better place to live."



Jodi grew up on a dairy farm near Marion and now with her husband Kevin raise vegetables on their 5 acres for farm market sales. She's been with the Missaukee Conservation District since May, 2009 as the recycling educator and has been a Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program technician since November 2011.


Andrea started working for the district in Oct 2018. Andrea has been involved in agriculture and natural resources since childhood. She grew up in some of our National Parks and lived on a dairy farm for 15 years. Andrea believes that getting kids outside and engaged in nature is the key to managing our resources in the future
